Role in the Project
Within the project, TORRECID brings its TRL9 cost-effective facilities and industrial expertise to demonstrate the viability of inkjet printing for the large-scale production of SOEL electrodes. TORRECID is focused on solving key technical challenges to ensure a sustainable and economically viable manufacturing process, including:
- Suspension Stability & Clogging Prevention: Formulating stably dispersed ceramic powder suspensions matching requirements of ink jet printheads
- High Solid Loading Deposition: Developing high solid loading suspensions required for efficient, industrial-grade electrode manufacturing.
- Industrial Upscaling: Leveraging decades of patented inkjet technology and large-scale deposition expertise to bridge advanced materials development with commercial-scale energy production.
